Do you work on changes that matter?
(6) CommentsIn early May, I had the honor of delivering a keynote presentation to an audience of 700 attendees at the Inaugural Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) conference. It was an exciting event. Change practitioners from all over the world came together in Orlando, Florida to share ideas, network, and help build a new community of people dedicated to the development of the field of change management. It was a pleasure to see old friends and meet new professionals committed to the craft.
For my presentation, I decided to depart from the standard “what we do/how we do it” talk in order to challenge the audience to think about why we do what we do, and consider the difference our work can make in our organizations, our communities, and our world. I call this work Changes That Matter.
